I'm Jason Evans, a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) based right here in Vancouver, BC.
My practice focuses on two connected areas: helping men improve their mental health and helping couples rebuild their relationships. When working with men, my goal is to break down the old expectation that men always need to be tough and silent. We look at what is causing your stress and turn those heavy emotions into simple, everyday strategies.
In couples counselling, I act as a neutral guide to help you step back from constant arguments and miscommunications, teaching couples how to actually hear each other again, repair from disagreements, and bring back the trust and closeness that might have been lost along the way.
These two areas naturally impact each other. When you are feeling mentally healthy and stable as an individual, you can show up much better for your partner. At the same time, having a supportive, loving relationship at home makes it much easier to handle the stresses of daily life.
Let's Connect:
I offer in-person sessions in Vancouver on Mondays and Tuesdays. We can also connect via video call, phone, or a Walk & Talk session at Pacific Spirit Park. My approach draws on trainings in the Gottman Method, Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I can work with you individually or with your partner, and specialize in men’s health, anxiety, life purpose and couples counselling.
Staring November 6th I will be offering in-person sessions in Powell River at Townsite Allied Health every 1st and 2nd Friday and Saturday of the month.
